Description

Vesuvio is a coarse plaster to which Glazes and Metallics can be applied and then is given a polished finish. This creates a double texture, both granular and smooth, giving characteristics that make a design statement piece, usually on a featured wall. Numerous design styles are achievable with Vesuvio. Special application tools are sometimes needed (i.e., for Luci or Fiamme di Rochas).

Vesuvio consists of selected marble powders and genuine slaked-lime.
CL 90‐S baked in wood‐fire kilns and aged for 8‐10 months.

Vesuvio is Naturally White.

Call or order online a quart sample in the chosen colour from the online plaster colour card.

Application

The substrate must be properly prepared then covered with Protek Sharktooth Primer.

  • One Coat Protek Sharktooth Primer
  • One Coat of Vesuvio
  • Can be overlaid with other products, such as Classico, but really it depends on the creative abilities of the applicator. There are numerous creative possibilities.

Both intensely textured or smooth surfaces can be achieved with Vesuvio, which is open to a large variety of application techniques and tools. Application tools vary from trapezoid plastering trowels to texture trowels and sponges.

For an even coloring of the base product, clean the pot inner‐edge and accurately stir the chosen Colorants. Stir the base product, while gradually pouring the colorant and mix until a homogeneous blend has been reached.

Recommended: Let tinted product rest for at least 12 hours prior to its application.
