In 2009 PROTEK Paint acquired the Texturline product line and were fortunate to have a founding member and true Plaster master Barry Affleck join the PROTEK Team. Barry has a tremendous amount of expertise and experience with world-class lime-based plaster products. His next step was to create a line of professional acrylic-based plasters that could match lime-based products (fine, medium & coarse grains).
Barry knew that acrylic-based plasters would be easier to apply then lime-based products and allow for additional creative designs. The high bonding nature of acrylic coatings would make the probability failure extremely close to zero. As innovators in the marketplace, Texturline formulated and manufactured acrylic plasters that could withstand freezing, an important benefit for the North American market because heated transportation would not be required for acrylic plaster products, unlike lime-based plasters.
Developing an Acrylic Venetian Plaster, capable of replacing lime-based plaster finishes, with less application effort and more design flexibility is another Texturline achievement.

Acrylic plaster products can be further enhanced with waxes, washes, glaze or varnishes. These Topcoat Applications offer stunning deign results, some of which are exclusive to acrylic plaster products.
Texturline has always been at the forefront of new decorative coating developments and that tradition continues to this day. As a result, PROTEK Paint offers a full range of Metallic Coatings, along with a full spectrum of Micro toppings that include Cement, Acrylic & Lime-based products.
Recently, Micro toppings have emerged as a primary solution for wet areas, both in residential and commercial applications. Furthermore, the strength of Micro toppings especially on floor areas, offers designers & professionals a ‘seamless floor to wall coating solution’ that can be applied directly over existing structures (tile, cement, wood, & metal), helping to reduce demolition costs.

This is a fine granular version of Acrylic plaster simulating Marmorino Carrara in an acrylic form. Its flat aspect is a very desirable look in today’s trendy wall finishes.
